I'm beavering away like a beaver pulling a reading list and getting some materials together for the Glorious Revolution (still not picked up a paintbrush yet though). I don't want to end up with about 1000 books on the subject but I've got hold of these few:

Osprey Battle of the Boyne
Army of James II uniforms and org
Armies of Sedgemoor campaign
Armies and uniforms of Monmouth rebellion
Aughrim 1691
Killikrankie: I met the devil and dundee

Anything that you think is a "must have" thats not on my list?

cheers,

Alan

John Childs' "The Williamite Wars in Ireland" is recent and readily available, its a good general history, though in some stages it was a bit "captain X's men killed 12 raparees at Ballinasloe, captain Y's men killed 10 raparees at Belturbert, captain Z..." etc
Harder to find but a really well written narrative is Piers Wauchope's "Patrick Sarsfield and the Williamite Wars in Ireland". Dealing with Sarsfield's campaigns obviously, but that covers the majority of the important actions in the war.

Thanks for that. I will look out for it!

I have Padraig Lenihan's "Battle of the Boyne" and John Kinross' "The Boyne and Aughrim" sitting on the shelf. I wouldn't rush out and buy either but if you came accross them at the right price both are useful. A quick check showed that these and otehr title are available through Alibris (and I imagine other similar sites)

Not a book but the relaunched Wargames, Soldiers and Strategy magazine had a good dossier feature on the Glorious Revolution in April  - worth a read and some nice pics too!
