Nice quiet household this morning - so time for a Monster Attack: this scenario sees our intrepid Threshold agents come across a Formless Thing - it's a fight to the death...and this thing is gribbly  Cool

The scene:

The Formless Thing senses the approach of the agents and moves towards them:

The agents move up:

The Thing slithers through the ruined farmhouse:

Our heroes take up firing positions at the edge of the outbuildings:

They open up - and some spectacular marksmanship sees two [of four] wounds taken off the Formless Thing:

Angered and screeching hideously it throws out its pseudopods, catches hold of Special Agent Johnson and drags him into its clutches; he is repelled by its Hideousness, but passes his Resolve test - and he whips out his Bowie Knife and struggles with the beast - who causes him a wound immediately:

Agent Freeman takes the chance and fires into the combat - hitting both the creature and Johnson - the risk pays off though as the Thing is wounded and Johnson merely scratched:

Agent Garcia attempts the same shot - but misses wildly, his bullet ricocheting harmlessly off the farmhouse wall. Locked in desperate combat with Thing and its pseudopods, Johnson slashes and stabs - and finally wounds the creature enough for it to break and flee from him, its horrendous and otherworldly wails echoing through the forest:

Notes:
Again, a great game - this one would have been a much harder fight but for some stupendously good dice-rolling by the agents  Smiley
