a certain plastic tower

I recently purchased a rather expensive plastic tower from a well known high street retailer to give to a mate to say thanks for all of his help over the last few months. I set to to build it last night and to be honest I wasn't impressed at all. None of the bits fitted together without large amounts of trimming and cutting and general swearing. The decorated butresses are straight backed even though they are fitting on a curved wall. The tower itsel is supposed to be multi part however these are in multiples of two, so basically I have two front doors. Anyone else have it and what do they think?
