Sludge Infantry

The bases I had been waiting on arrived - so I've had chance to get the crossbow armed line infantry based up, along with a few shock infantry




And cleaned up are some more figures, some light cavalry and some foot knights and casualties, who where part of the same order as the bases - so far the only figures I have needed to buy for this project, all the rest has come out of the lead mountain

Finished off the basing on the infantry, added some different brown shades, tufts and even a bit of water effects (this hasn't been that effective)

Landing Craft

Made good progress with the landing craft last week, and managed to take some photos when it was fairly bright on Sunday. Apologies for the 'sea' it was the most obvious blue background I could think of!

The LCM will always be iconic to me, probably due to the Airfix version I had many years ago.  The LCA are just cute!

LST6 with added okerlein guns and crew. These were pretty uncommon for D-Day, most went to the Pacific. The numbers on these come from a 40 year old 1/35th Tiger I kit - and they took an age to come off the backing paper
