I've been planning a crusades campaign for a while and decided as I had been setting up my new hobby area now was as good a time as any.

The Baron of Nusquam, Sir Luke de Loupe along with his companions Sir Hugh de Chass and Sir Henri de Hippo have their breakfast rudely interrupted by visitors from the Islamic Emirate of Lamakan...

Very nice and as for the names, well, what can one say ;) :D?

mmcv

What's wrong with the names? Perfectly good solid medieval names all...  ???  ;)

Counter raid on the village of Manhanaa Al-nahr should be concluded tomorrow.

Very nice set up MMCV  :)

The names remind me of reading after actions reports of games put on by the TFL crew ;)
Though much is taken, much abides; and though
we are not now that strength which in old days
moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are.

Keep the puns up, Matthew.

We've got an Oik.... and a Muppet, already.

I'll have to think of something else, very soon. ;)

Cheers - Phil. :)

Thanks for the kind words!

Part two, in which I attempt to spin a yarn from very little action...

Different ruleset next time methinks...

Steve J

Hmmm, good looking game but certainly no fun for you :(. A change of rules required as you say.

When in doubt, make it up! Decided to fight another small engagement using my own homebrew rules I've been developing with a few adaptions for the period. Sir Hugh and Sir Henry take another tilt at the village only to run into Barbai and Wot-a-din. Ashamed of their poor showing last time, both sides set to with great gusto.

Great narrative and nice to see your willing to adapt and change for a better game.
Not sure which side I'm backing yet
