What is the best range for representing Cuban troops?

Hello h70

I'm sure our doyen of post-war, Sunray, will be here soon but it would help if you could say what era you're looking at or pictures of what you're thinking about. I'm assuming Cold War types so I'd look at the North Koreans https://pendraken.co.uk/post-war/korean-war/north-korean/.

If it's Spanish American war types you could look at the Andaluz militia from the SCW range https://pendraken.co.uk/inter-war/spanish-civil-war/republican/andaluz-militia/.

Cheers

Good point.  I was thinking generically over the Cold War era of sixties to eighties when the Cuban military were shock-troops for communist insurrection.

Not really one at the moment, most would after early 60's be in feild caps US style with sks or ak-47. Tanks you have - T34/85, T54/55 and T62.

And over the hill comes the cavalry.  As Vic (GOM) has correctly advised,  Korean war gives some generic types.

But as an operator for Pendraken Rumour Control,  I would watch the new releases space if you don't need the figures asap

The Cubans held on to Western small arms for quite a while.  British Paras will proxy for Bay of Pigs- Cubans in berets and FN rifles.

But if you want figures for the African intervention games.  Trust in Pendraken and keep your Paypal account dry.

They (decent Proxy figures ) will come.  :)

Good to know.  I am looking ahead for when I want to branch out from the Korean War; at least a couple of years depending on how C-19 pans out.  At least I already have the T34s.

I recall in the 1970s, ,many Third World African countries were buying cheap and cheerful T-54/55s.
The joke in the BAT teams was "Buy Soviet -  you get a free Cuban with every tank" .  ;D
