With the re vamped Opels being released on this apt anniversary day could I please suggest the following for the British;

Bedford OYD 3ton lorry
Bedford OYC tanker
Bedford OXD 30cwt

To keep all those forward units supplied! All used by Army,Navy and RAF.

I see you do a Bedford BRV73 QL ? Any chance of a tanker version?

Thanks

I have to admit that I have a micro mini tanker conversion in my 1960s bush war games.  Not all fuel comes in jerry cans/45 gallon drums, and "rolling replenishment" is a standard practice in most post war armies.   The number of turn & move before refuel can be a reality check on gas guzzling armour.

The Battle of the Bulge movie contains an accurate reflection of the need to keep an eye on the fuel gauge.

In the Desert War, the 8th Army "borrowed" RAF bowsers (Bedford QL tankers) to keep up with armour and recon.

I like the logistic chain. Lots of trucks make an interesting target.

Hit 'em whilst they're refueling like in Kelly's Heroes.

8th Army box.

We normally have the logistical base as one of the objectives.  Most of the game it will be down as a blind but we have a bowser and heavy haulage truck on a base if the depot has to be deployed; it is good to be able to use such specialist gear.

One of my favourite scenarios comes from the German film "the Bridge" (the original, not the remake.)

Set up a river crossing with several approach roads. Guard it with a platoon of infantry and maybe an AT gun.

Randomly decide what's coming and from where.

You may have to let that staff car through before the horse drawn kitchen can cross the other way. Does the damaged Panther have priority over the three trucks coming the other way? Can you get those refugees to safety before that artillery piece needs to cross?

At some point toss in an air attack or that Panther is actually an M10.

Plenty of scope for softskins to take part and become a headache.
