Wonderful to see these released.  Doing my research on what I need for a few big armies.

I need to ask then ..... how are the Castle Arts buildings going?  Maybe has been mentioned but I couldn't see it.

Thanks
Richard

If I didn't have a lot of 15mm Samurai in the lead pile, I'd have been buying a lot of these.

Those resources linked will be a great help with finally getting those 15mm ones painted and I might be after the buildings.

You will see that FK and myself have seen the progression of these. Interesting that he has used the Castle Arts buildings

Anyone know what the middle Sohei monk is wielding?

I suppose what really matters is, is the top part is metal or wooden?

I've just tried a google query 'Sohei Monks' and most are shown wielding a naginata.

From Wikipedia:
"The most traditional weapon of the monk, however, was the naginata, a weapon much like the
Chinese guandao or podao European glaive..."

Metal blade and either wooden or metal pole.

Yeah I was going to say naginata, so metal.

fred.

Thanks both - I'd wondered that, but thought it seemed a bit straight compared to naginta on other figures

Really great range, lovely figures. Any chance of some more character figures and some ammo carriers.

Potentially, we'll see how the sales go and then we can look at some additions next year.
