Well, sort of. 10mm is prob a bit Too Small do give Character figs justice. HOWEVER...
If a reputable company such as PenD wwere to give Joss Wheedon a prod and offer the free services, (air fare, apart!), from Forumites as characters/extras in a 're-visiting'......
...well, we live in a world of Imagination  ;)   so, why not let it rip!  ;D ;D ;D

It has indeed!

It has been with a mix of excitement (for what is new) and trepidation ( for how much it might cost me) that I have looked at these each day.

It's great to see the Samurai released and I put in a not so little order last night for them. Although seeing the size of some of the Naps orders makes me feel that my orders are not so big either.

Yes, a bit like going to an auction and realising you are out of your league.

I've ordered some Samurai. A taster if you will.

If I order more will depend on how the paint job goes.

Talking of paint jobs, is there an easy wargamers guide to painting Samurai and Ashigaru?

If easy is your desideratum, samurai aren't your friends! Ashigaru are easier.

Such as it is:
*    Sengoku armour at least is simpler than earlier stuff; bigger surfaces, and commonly black lacquer with blue lacing, which isn't too demanding. The other major types are red lacquer, yellow or gold lacing, gilt armour with white lacing, and russet brown glossy, lacing eludes me. Mailed sleeves. Lots of sashimono, remembering they weren't all flags either. This is a grotesque oversimplification of samurai armour styles; sode and haidate were still often multiple rows of different braid, and a cuirass covered in damask wasn't unknown. Take comfort in the fact that the spectacular pieces in the V. and A. or wherever are usually display suits, not battlefield stuff.
*   Ashigaru in black or sometimes red armour, far fewer cords and rows of lacing. Rememer they're the commonest type by far, so this makes your life easier. Sashimono again, cloth sleeves and trousers, though with metal plates on the former.

As ever, one or two of Turnbull's books will help a long way.
I don't drink coffee to wake up. I wake up to drink coffee.

Do Austrians instead.
I have neither the time or the crayons to explain why you are wrong.
