@PaulR

I am intrigued. Which codes are you using for your 100YW? Are you going for the Crecy end rather than the Castillion end?

My minor gripe about Pendraken Medieval ranges is the lack of a good pig faced bascinet. The mid European Range seems a little too early, and the Late European seems a little too late.

FSN - I have the 'advantage' of not knowing much about the period ;)

I'm 'focusing' my forces around Agincourt and using mainly the Late European and TB ranges with a mix of

ELM1 Mounted knights, barded horses
ELM28 Mounted knights, unbarded horses
ELM36 14th Century Knights

ELM3 Dismounted Knights
TB-178 Knights on foot

In hot weather the poor fellow inside there must have been bakin' and eggs after a few hours.

I think earlier variants were more porcine.

Thanks, Matey.

I think (AGES ago)....I did see some sort of 'helm' that did have a much more piggy type face.
(Mind you, that might have been a fantasy, rather than historical illo'  :-\)

There is a suggestion that clibanarius is a corruption of grivepan, Persian for warrior, and was adopted as a name for the troop type by the Romans because it means "baking oven man."

Nothing new under the sun :)

Mmm, I've always thought that was too good not to be true.
