Hi, I have posted a couple of times and thought Iíd introduce myself.

Like many of us Iím in my early 50s, based in South Worcestershire, I seem to find myself playing most periods in a variety of scales these days. I picked up the Indian Mutiny sepoys when they came out and I am currently planning and building an Archaemenid army. Hope that will be finished before I get my batch of British Napoleonics for the peninsula.

Regards

Evening, PBaldwin.

Interesting selection. All the new stuff.

Good luck with the Archaemenids. You're a braver man than I!

This was an army I bought in 28mm and sold unpainted! In 10mm I certainly dont worry about patterns, itís solid colours all the way.

Hi Paul, welcome.

A few of us are in our 70's so you'll pass as a youngster.

Have never done the Mutiny, don't know how I missed it.

Achaemenids, yes, in 25's when they were a standard, everyone had one army. Still got a few somewhere but also a few in 10mm.

Only done Napoleonics in 1/72nd then 25mm, then 15mm, some in 6mm, a lot in 10mm, many many in 28mm  and a few more in 20mm. I even have some in 54mm.

I've done just about everything else, I think, certainly seems like it.

Just ask questions if you need help.

You can easily give them dotted tunics.

Greetings. Does Worcester still have a multitude of gaming shops? When I visited there about 5 years ago, I was astounded to find at least two independent board game shops, the toy shop had a large section of games, as well as the inevitable GW.

Welcome to the madhouse Paul.

I have always fancied doing Persians, but the painting put me off.  But FK's suggestion of solid colours with dots in 10mm, that would work.  HMMM......

However I am already being sorely tempted by another Paul on this forum with the Punic wars.

Obviously the name Paul mus mean "Tempter" Smiley
