Very, very nice, Forbes  :-bd

I'm intrigued to know what's causing the indentation on the middle of the bases on some of the wee men. :-\

Cheers - Phil. :)

Cheers Phil

They are plastic bases - and that is how they are cast / moulded. I guess I really need to do some more basing than just painting them a grey / brown colour...

The slots in those bases are often longer than needed. Only way I have found to cover it is to fill from underneath, very fiddly job

I'm assuming Phil meant in the first couple of photos and the last one. These are newer GW bases without slots.

It's only the Harlequins that are metal slotta models with the large slot in the base. A bit of filler should sort those- they often need some to sit right anyway.

It's hardly important......and I don't think they'll really show up "on the table."

But, like I say.... I'm intrigued as to why there's an indentation on some.
Probably a moulded dip in the bases......especially on the g/s cultists.....The 'cups' do look very central.

Cheers - Phil. :)

fred.

It is odd, why would you go to the trouble of creating that in the surface of the base when setting the mould up.

Is it the injection point on the underside

Quite possibly, Ian. ;)

But for something that simple, they really should have sorted that out.....But....sigh....life's too short...and it might cost them a fraction of a penny/cent for each one they sell....Which they won't be bothered about.

Cheers - Phil

I think it was in the end - the Samurai and Irish certainly upped the volumes.

Just to point out the Epic stuff was painted a while ago.
