Thanks chaps

They were very simple paint jobs sprayed desert yellow, then tracks and MGs in dark grey, a wash on radiator grills, then a pale sand dry brush.

Basing is even simpler, sand. Plain sand. The Italians have a few tiny bits of clump fiolage added to look a bit like the tiny bushes you see in many of the early desert war photos.

Been painting these figures up over the last few days. They are pretty quick to paint mainly using thinner paints, a bit more than a wash, but not much more.

Got them based just now - so lots of sand as they are still drying.

Nice, Like the Deacon, slightly later than My desert war stuff. I am still trying to work out how to use Portees in BKC without them getting completely stuffed.  Like lots of anti tank stuff they need some sort of "shoot and scoot" ability

Thanks all

My desert war stuff started out early, then has just had bits added to it to keep moving it later and later. We've played a variety of WWII rules over lockdown, and in most of them tanks are just too good, they don't suffer any of their real world problems. I wonder if just giving tanks a -2 to hit against anything but another tank would be a good starting point. To represent the difficulty of spotting small stuff, and target priority.

Got the basing finished on these tonight. So a few photos

Really pleased with these. And getting very near the end of this army. Only another 8 packs to paint, which pleased me a lot when I initialled counted them. But then I realised that this lot is only around 5 packs (and the junk lobbers were done a little while ago).
