Thanks all, some good ideas there. But in general it sounds like a few scattered animals not herds

Nice work Fred.

Thanks Dave.

Progress has been slow of late,  but I got some al fresco painting done yesterday afternoon

Samurai Cavalry - I think these are the main cause of the slowness, too many different colours needed...

Sohei - nearly finished. I've mixed in a few Samurai figures - as it seems quite a bit of armour was worn.
I also read yesterday that Sohei May be an anachronistic term as it wasn't used till 100+ years later

More Ashigaru
These guys will motor along - black armour highlighted grey is so quick and easy

Did some research on Mons so getting close to having something sorted for sashimono and banners.

Thanks chaps

Finally got round to making some sashimono last night - and then printed them and cut out today. I'm liking how these look, so might be adding more to units so infantry have 3.

Thanks all, the banners do lift the figures nicely.

But I've now spotted a fair few edges that need tidying up

I'm busy measuring and sizing graphics for the big banners, which unfortunately are a very different ratio to the example ones I have
