That's a bit of a bugger Will, I am sorry to hear that.

Gaming wise, not much - 15mm (I know, I'm sorry) Colonial Marines & alien "Hunter" figures from QRF miniatures. And the Ranger of Shadow Deep rules - looks interesting, solo/co-op version of Frostgrave.

A couple of 70's-era OO gauge Hornby wagons off of eBay (although that's now stopped - prices have gone up, postage has gone up, my interest has gone down).

Been building Space Hulk-type tiles for the QRF figures to play on, courtesy of the Crooked Staff Terrain stuff. And printing out, cutting out and sticking the cards needed for Sellswords & Spellslingers.

Currently trying to resist an N gauge Kato tram (why? why do I need this? FOMO!)

Duke Speedy of Leighton

It's all cool, I'm just owed 8 days back pay (at rediculous supply rates) payment holidays in place, we hae enough to get by.  8)

Makes me feel even worse about spending money I don't have on things I don't need!

I am not as far into retirement as jimdunkanuk but I am beginning to wonder about getting value for money from any purchase I make!  What will the Executors make of them? Need to make sure that is stipulated in the Will!  Still you need to have something to look forward to in life and keep moving forward, hence my starting to acquire Pendraken miniatures.

Still on sentry duty at the front.

Good to hear that Lemmy

Only one purchase, my Hundred Years War project ;)

I'm 67 this summer, been retired almost 7 years and long since resigned myself to the realisation that I am, by and large, a planner of, and buyer for, projects that will never even start, let alone get completed.

But, as you say, it's good to have goals and besides it beats the hell out of collecting teaspoons or thimbles! :)

Beer, mostly.
I have just put in bases order to Leon.
Other than that  just a couple of computer versions of board games; Twilight Struggle where I can play the computer, and Flash Point, which is cooperative anyway, so ideal for solo play.
I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain why you are wrong.

My redundancy money has been set aside for daughter's maintenance loan top ups for Uni, so we are living off my wife's salary, which is not big, but OK for us to live off, just. So purchases none so far as having to be careful at present.

FierceKitty

A few reinforcements for my Japanese armies, mainly to remedy a samurai-heavy imbalance, and some 1:3000 WWI fleets. Not much, but my income has been limited these last few months.
I don't drink coffee to wake up. I wake up to drink coffee.

sunjester

Not bought very since lockdown started, just used it as an opportunity to clear some of the backlog.

Some RUB insert trays from Walt.
28mm spider victims from a Russian guy - the postage was as much as the minis
A 'pick and mix' set from Ramshackle Games - 28mm some Victorian Sci-fi, some Fantasy
A sample sprue of Oathmark Elves
Some brushes and varnish from Leon
Beer, of course

But what I've nearly bought, oh my! Late night browsing on Ebay is not good for me  ;D
Fortunately I hadn't been drinking

Thats very dangerous, I bought a sprue of Oathmark Dwarves for my Frostgrave war band.  THey are quite nice, not perfect but good fillers for an army.
