Give me a chance to contact my bookmaker, to check the odds.  Wink
I'll see if there's anything strange being quoted.

The Ironsides of the Eastern Association horse rapidly got the better of Lord Byron's horse; Lee's learned the value of deeper units of cavalry.

The close-up shows one of the infantry engagements in the centre. Brummage's regiment (green) outshooting Mason's (red). One of three such contests, all favouring King Charles, as was right and proper. My shooting dice were far better this time.

An impetuous advance cost me Hopton and musch of his regiment, but Rupert led the Lifeguard, with support from Newcastle's Whitecoats, to destroy the Lobsters, capture Fairfax, and win the battle. Just as well the Roundhead morale broke when it did; my left was about to discover what Cromwell and his Ironsides could do to a turned flank.

Nice looking game Kitty  Cool

In ECW games I have played the Royalists always seem to either win spectacularly or else fold disasterously.

Mmm, likewise. And the decisive stroke is always given by the victorious cavalry. Accurate enough, as I recall.

I think musch was a bit of lah-di-dah Cavalier affectation. Musch have been.

Congrats. Pity you didn't have a slightly better camera, Kitty (unless it's my computer? but I don't think so) because these look like a whole bunch of well-painted minis.   Thumbs up

You're kind; but maybe my minis look better when photographs are a bit fuzzy!
