I think this is now the 4th weekend in a row with gale force winds and rain in Bristol :(. Mind you we are very lucky compared to other parts of the country.

It's certainly chucking it down hard here, in Pembrokeshire, Steve.....Don't think the wind has picked up to the full extent yet.....But there's a river running down the road....once again.
Like you, we're feeling very fortunate we haven't suffered the way so many people have....So I shouldn't moan.

Genuinely feel SO sorry for them....That must be absolutely heartbreaking, to have your home filled with feet of water. (And worse). :(

Have to admit I was assuming everything that tracks across the Atlantic, would hit Ireland and the West side of the UK mainland before Spain.

Probably just as well, kept the crowds away from the demo in town. Honestly, I know sod all happens around here (apart from the odd Bansksy appearing*), but the hype around this visit by Greta Thurnberg is just ridiculous. The local media couldn't be more excited (or patronising - speciallity of the BBC . . .).

Reminds me, I must check the loft-bucket for roof-water later.

Roofer says five grand to replace the roof, can't do a patch as the current patch is fine but the sh*te job some previous owner did on the Dormer means a whole new membrane and a load of tiling replacement and... still, only looks to be an actual problem on the rare once a decade storms. That we now get yearly.
