38/40 too many Americans - guessed wrong on Chesty Puller, and never heard of that WW1 'father of the air force' chap!

and absolutely the worst picture of Hannibal ever

38/40 - got Pizzaro and Cortes the wrong way round ... you'd think having got one wrong I'd get the other!

Got lucky on a number of best guesses.

Several of the images seemed positively bizarre as illustrations of pre-photography characters.

Rather US centric too.
