Not a clarification Crossfire - the rules state that all Mortars, except those over 100mm calibre will only cause suppression against AFVs.
All mortars cause Hits against Soft targets.

I agree that for clarity we could/will take review the * on over 100mm mortars - however this only applies against AFVs not against Field defenses. So it probably requieres a clarification wording rather than removal from the lists.

Those under 100mm will cause hits and suppression in the normal manner against Soft targets, and suppression against hard targets.

The indirect fire element is also a change from BKCII as TBF it added an extra level of unnecessary complexity.
As it was also felt that a mortar ordered by an HQ with line of sight was no real difference to the mortar having LoS and still being ordered to fire by the same HQ. It's debatable, but it was agreed it was too low a level of detail for what we are attempting to portray.

Hope that helps?
