"I love the smell of paint in the morning"   that what butterflies think around me !

I was adding paint to my felt, and several butterflies came to it.
( But as I came back with my phone to take pictures, there was only one left. The cats were also around .. )

. . . The cats were also around ..

Yes, we have a 'mighty' hunter who seems to delight in chasing fluttery things around the garden. She hunts nothing else though.

The male is the one who brings back all the feathery things we find dismembered in the garden.

In the upper photo I thought it was a Vulcan bomber, in “Halloween” camo, making a practice run on Grimsby.
But looking closer I think it is a Red Admiral - lovely!

Nice! red admiral. I currently have about 50 painted ladies and peacock butterflies on my buddleia. On the other hand the bees seem to prefer the lavender. Just find painting in this weather a pain so instead sit in the garden and do crosswords.
