Daft question (almost certainly) what fighter planes were used by the French ?

To my untutored eye, they look like Spitfires from a little pic I managed to Google.
I don't suppose they were though. :-\

Similar look to a spitfire with elliptical wing sections.
Main landmark is wings slightly further forward, and cockpit set well back - like an old pylon racer.
Apparently this layout left a big blind spot forward and below.

An interesting link on the French "Spitfire" (so to speak), Steve. Thanks to your link, I also see this gives a further link to one of its rivals, the Morane-Saulnier MS406, which in my mind, has some similarities to the British Hurricane (and possibly the one modelled in lego in the video?).   :)

Another great episode 8). I checked how much these 'kits' are and they're not cheap, but boy do I want some :D.

Wow the side view of that groundborne Swiss variant looks just like a Hurri.
