Wild West Bloodbath!

I ran another of my Wild West gunfights using my home-grown rules on Friday.

Mark ran the posse of lawmen who had captured the notorious outlaw Stinking Pete and was es courting him to the local town marshal's office to be locked up until he could be transferred to the State prison. Just before being captured Pete had robbed a gold shipment and only Pete knew where it was stashed.

Colin, Bill, Martin and Henry all had rival gangs of outlaws who wanted to grab Pete and "persuade" him to reveal where the gold was hidden. I umpired and controlled the townsfolk, which included the marshal and his two deputies, in the Marshal's office. They would be activated once some entered the Marshal's office, if the shooting had already started they would be on Wait (overwatch) and able to react, otherwise they would be taken by surprise.

All Mark had to do was get Stinking Pete into the jail, all the others had to do was either take Pete off the table, or else be the last man standing!

See how it went here https://tringwargames.blogspot.com/2019/03/wild-west-bloodbath.html

. . . the notorious outlaw Stinking Pete . . .

Careful there, you'll have the House of Mouse's lawyers on you using names like that. At least you didn't have a Sheriff named Woody . . .

Looks like you had fun

Take care

Great AAR and super set up.

Brings back memories of "Once Upon A Time In The West" games many moons ago. Still have my protagonisti figure somewhere.

Ah the joys of the A.G.R.O. - Advanced Gunfight Re-creation Object. They don't make things like that any more ... thank goodness :)

No doubt that was 2 doors down.
I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain why you are wrong.

It was three doors down and  Henry spent most of the time in there on over watch, or was he just watching ?

In my brief go at wild west, my one success was seducing the minister's wife during a service in the church (though we rendezvoused at Madame Sadie's to do the necessary). Who needs a knocking shop?

Very nice report, Graham !  :)

We preachers are notoriously underpaid, I assume a "tip" was part of the "seduction"  ;)

Meanwhile, nice report Graham!
When I saw Terry37's excellent collection of gunfighters back in The Fall, I was inspired until I realized I would have to paint the dang things.  :)

What I find rather appealing about the wild west OK Corral type shoot-out is that it is one of few set-ups one can play with a ground scale totally in accordance with figure scale, and landscape scale without much compromise, even at 54mm scale. Unless the townsfolk have a go, its just a few figures and a few buildings.
