Suggestions please - Stalingrad Buildings

I'm contemplating Crossfire in 10mm as a minor distraction for 2019.
The die isn't yet cast on whether to go or not, lack of terrain (Crossfire demands terrain like Huitzilopochtli demands sacrifices).

So 10mm figures (probably 5 per squad) on 3cm square bases, and a ton of terrain.

The easiest scratchbuild I can imagine is a set of Stalingrad style city buildings.
I have a collection of empty Dolce Gusto coffee cartons that are nicely cuboid, so it's a matter of cutting/punching out windows and doors, adding some damage (Scissors) and spraying the right colour.
Simples?

I'm sure I'm not the first person to try this.
Does anybody here have any useful advice?
What are the pitfalls?
Am I missing out on a range of super-cheap commercial terrain?

Many thanks

If you don't mind using 6mm buildings with 10mm figures (not trying open a can of worms on that subject but we use them and looks OK) what about Timecast?

They do a couple of specific Stanlingrad buildings: http://www.timecastmodels.co.uk/range_3/range_3.html

These might be worth a look

Ready painted 6mm stuff by them too, if you like "Wendy Houses" :)

Baggage train has some 10mm ruins which would work well. Also built loads (in 6) myself from cork tiles, if you can still get them.

Thank you all:
So many good looking options.
I'd neglected to mention that I'll want to place elements inside the buildings.

Current favourite is the Empires at War 10mm ruined city blocks.  :-bd
Hits the "Goldilocks" size for a localised firefight of a company or two per side.
And currently part of their sale - https://www.empiresatwar.co.uk/SALE-ITEMS.html

The Timecast buildings look superb, but are mainly massive industrial units.

The latest resin Ebay ruins look great for a more rural setting, or the edge of town.

Now scratching my head regarding efficient storage options, or dare I ask the Mrs to reduce her shoe collection.  =;

Wickes was the last bricks 'n mortar store around here that stocked them, but they disappeared last year :(.

Still available via Amazon, but not bought them from there.

Good tip from Ithoriel -  I add  N gauge building materials/brick wall plastic card  etc  to give detail and cat litter (unused !) to create debris and rubble -  you can also shape it around figure/AT gun and MG positions.   The Dropzone Commander sets will give you street surface.  Add N street lights etc.

Homebase get cork tiles in now and then. I used foam core to good effect, it is light and easy to cut a million windows into😀

Probably one of your cheapest options would be to build your own using foam board

if you scroll down to near the bottom of the album you'll see some I've made

Leven Miniatures offers a separate line of 6 MM buildings for Stalingrad. I use his buildings a lot for my HOTT Strongholds.
