A force of slingers in good going should not be relied on to hold a position in the line. Neglecting this rule today caused the Assyrian invasion to fail disastrously, with the Egyptian chariots breaking through and then rapidly expanding the breach as they hit unit after unit in the flank. Good omens and a few good rolls didn't hurt either.

The unit facing the Assyrian chariots held them bravely but briefly. The sacrifice allowed Imhothep's squadron to descend on their flank.

The heavy chariots have turned to face, but are seriously disordered, while the supporting shooting from the Beloved of Hathor regiment to rear didn't do the Egyptians any harm either.
