A proper camera as my phone doesn't take pictures.
I use a small tripod for my 6mm aircraft photos, so they are all taken from the same height.

Canon T3 Rebel DSLR. Also use it for music gigs and sport photography with a variety of different lenses; works fine for me. A tripod is a necessity for figures to get good, clear images.  If I need any extra lighting or some such I will borrow my lad's, after all he is a professional photographer, Photoshop wiz, computer animator, artist, actor, musician and so on blah, blah-blah.
