We spent last weekend fighting the 1985 Soviet invasion of Norway in 6mm using Cold War commander at the excellent Grimsby club

Aarhus = Denmark, not Norway, surely?

Regardless - beautiful game, thanks for sharing!

Me, too!  Grin

Great looking game. Also good to see that the vehicles are not lined up 'shoulder to shoulder' like Horse & Musket era troops (except for the beachhead, of course, where the overcrowding is very plausible, btw) (mind you, it does help that it is in a much smaller scale than some of these larger scale Flames of War games I often see and so it is easier to spread them about. One of the many advantages of 6 & 10mm. Smiley ).

It's this line at the start of AAR 1 that's got me confused:
"In October 2018 we played out the battle of Aarhus over two days at the Grimsby Wargames Club. This post covers the Southern table on Day One."

I thought that Aarhus was in the middle of our street?

Very nice, but I'm now hankering back to Sir John Hackett and feel a twinge for Chieftains and S-tanks and ... I don't need any more projects.

Thanks for pointing it out

After 40 years of coding I've almost got the hang of paste'n'cut

I blame the 7 hour journey back from Grimsby to Stroud by train including a delightful bus replacement service between Scunthorpe and Sheffield Cry Cry Cry Cry

Good to see the dice is still spun in Grimsby town !  And that Romford, Marsh & Associates (as they were once known) - their heirs and successors, have progressed beyond WW2.   They were renowned for their awesome WW2 exhibition games.

A good game, and well told. +1 Grimsby  Smiley
