I'm not sure what you mean.  Here is is working hard on MY trees.   ;D

Started experimenting on some MDF building for Rohan/Dark Ages/Medieval.  Sarissa on the left Warbases on the right.

Using some texture medium with some pale yellow paint.  I like how the wood texture on the Warbases kit but the cross beam is attached to the roof so I can't apply the texture paint to the triangle over the door.

I've got two different kind of fur.  I guess I use both just to have a bit of variety

Both will be painted once the PVA dries.

Please could you let us know what sort of mesh you used for the trees?

I will take a picture of it when I can.   In short it's a triangular prism of mesh that you would use to fill up your gutters leaving no room for leaves but letting water through.

With paint an a dry brush.   I think the finer, brown fur gives a more realistic result but more realistic isn't always better on the table top.

Here is what's left of the mesh I bought.

From the pictures I prefer the finer, brown fur

Uh, either someone around here has ordered a refrigerator and didn't bother telling me or I have accidentally ordered enough cork bark for some serious ambas.

Hint: That box isn't as heavy as it looks...

My village so far

I've been using the brown fur but trying to get more texture out of it.  The main reason I've been staying with it is that it is less likely to show the underlying fabric through the fur.  Also I've been folding the fur around the lip of the roof.

I've got two more buildings painted but for the roofs needing painted.   Then it will be onto the larger buildings.
