Neither do I, Terry.

I took yours as a humourous reply....I wouldn't worry about it.

Cheers - Phil.

Um that was no real offense being taken (though knowing me I may have inadvertently given some). I appreciated the cunning linguist touches. But I was presenting myself as a angry pedant in OP I was playing to the role.

I'm still right about prepainted though...
I have neither the time or the crayons to explain why you are wrong.

Excellent !
Good man......Thanks for clearing that up, LH  :)

LH, I am much relieved to read your reply as I truly was afraid I had some how offended you. It is not my nature to ever what to hurt or offend anyone. Thanks and no worries then,

Terry

QuoteSo this is my pre-reply, reply, that I am not going to de-reply.

This however requires you buy a stiff drink for all Officers and Gentlemen* present in the mess

*Not Nobby, obviously.

LH, that works for me, but understand you have to come here to drink it!

If by stiff drink you mean ice lolly then I'm upset.  :Ph

Otherwise, I don't care. I can get a stiff one anytime I want.  :P

What's the thread with our watering hole called ?.....Forum barfight ?

I'll see you there later....Got to call the nice AA man out for the Landrover. (We think she's sulking 'cos she's going to get scrapped in a couple of weeks.)

Sounds like a bummer Phil! I'm still ding OK with my '93 Honda - not beautiful, but runs well and gets me from A to B.

Terry. :)

A very nice 'proxy' AA man* came out and sorted the Land Rover out.
(* He was a youth...as far as I'm concerned.....About 30 years younger than me... ;D ;D ;D ;D)

So that'll be running until we scrap her......VERY soon.

He also 'sorted' a problem on the little car...which wasn't in his 'remit'.

Like you, Matey.....all I want, is the little tin box on wheels to get me from A to B.

Cheers - Phil  ;)

Cars know. My last-but-one performed almost flawlessly for eleven years. I spend one weekend looking at Autotrader to see what's available for the money I've got and the very next week the head gasket goes, and it's off to the scrap yard. It had passed the MOT without needing any fixes only six weeks before. For a fifteen year-old car that was practically unheard of.

So in his early forties then?

Stop it, Peter !    ;D ;D

(Though, that could have been a lot worse.)
