FSN, for painting tips if using zebra's to haul Sumerian Donkey Carts, "onager" might be a safer search :)

Isn't Onager a place in Essex ?  ;)

Just don't end up with a chariot pulled by two siege catapults...

The (underground ??) station at 'Onagar' was reputed to be home to a colony of European scorpions. (That's if I'd remembered correctly.)

Had a quick 'Google'...and I apparently hadn't 'got that wrong'.

I was disappointed to read that it was either a complete hoax, or that a railway employee had bought some of said scorpions, from a local pet shop...and then let them loose on the station.

"The 6:18 will be delayed owing to scorpions on the line"

Well, it's original...

Apply a good coat of varnish to avoid chipping onagar? ;)

Then you'd have a shiny metal ass...

There's a chap on the Baccus forum who goes by the name of Ironass. Perhaps I should pass on this tip.

So now I'm painting Lions and badgers and hippos.

I did wonder if the zebra could be use as asses. I had in mind the Sumerian ass-drawn chariot.

So.

I Googled "ass".

Yes. I know what I did wrong.

wrong? depends on wich words you added to the search.

ass cart would maybe turn out ok.
ass drawn is doubtfull, might get some videos on how to draw an ass.
sumerian ass will probably get you in bad places.
anything with ass and ride in any combination is a nono.

So don't go looking for cavalry mounted on donkeys...

Lions, giraffes and badgers arrived today.

Erm...
Yeah,
Anyone got any good giraffes vs badger rules?
Should I base the badgers as infantry or cavalry?

I'd suggest "One of us is in the wrong place", by FSNRulesAll  - there's an expansion pack for Shark vs Gorilla.

Badgers are treated the same as unarmoured aardvarks.

I painted foxes, badgers, lions and hippos over the weekend. I balked at the giraffes. The foxes and badgers are really nice little sculpts.   :D

Suggesting the lions, hippos and giraffes are not . . .  :)?

Foxes and badgers.

From the photo I can see I need to do a bit of a touch up on the fox faces.

They are also very good, but I haven't finished painting them yet.   :D
