Anyone have a copy of these rules? What were they like? Are any copies available anywhere?

I know they used to be free online; hopefully someone has a copy laying around.

Hello NtL

I have looked in vain for this, the web archive is not any use either. The best I've been able to do is find an Italian translation, which is a modified version of the rules. The Google translation is amusing in parts - " The soldiers are organized into individual whiskers".

The Italian version is at http://spadoniecannoni.forumattivo.it/t100-il-gran-capitano-virtue-gainst-fury#191 and translation at http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=auto&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fspadoniecannoni.forumattivo.it%2Ft100-il-gran-capitano-virtue-gainst-fury%23191. Maybe someone can come up with a better translation :-

Campaign rules for the rules from the same site - https://translate.google.com/translate?depth=1&hl=en&prev=search&rurl=translate.google.com.au&sl=it&u=http://spadoniecannoni.forumattivo.it/t100-il-gran-capitano-virtue-gainst-fury

Rules were mentioned with the Italian wargame club Miles Gloriosus, maybe somebody there may have the original https://translate.google.com.au/translate?hl=en&sl=it&u=http://www.milesgloriosus.it/&prev=search

Cheers Grumpers, that at least gives me an idea of what they're like. That is a great translation too. Whiskers of men!

In effect they are a refinement of DBR specifically for the Great Italsan Wars.s

Will come back to this once I can work out how to get rid of the random s which keeps appearins

Anyway, as an example 2-handed swordsmen are integrated into the pike unit, but can pop out and attack the flanks of the opposing pike unit. They are also the only set I know that take account of a large number of real and imagined extras that affect the fighting prowess of the troops, such as scythed chariots and Leonardo tanks, my favourite being Whores and Dancing Girlss
