Just received a copy of Clive Hollick's Battle of Benburb finally, might inspire me to get some Irish troops.....

Those peasants look great and love the rather spaced nature of their basing 8).

I'm late to the party. This project looks very much like what I'd like to do for a 10mm To the Strongest! or For King and Parliament project. 90 pages is a lot to scroll through! Is there a blog somewhere? And most important, where can I find some details on your basing and sabots; they look perfect.
Thanks, Jerboa

paulr

Hi Jerboa, unfortunately there is no blog but I'm happy to answer any questions

You may find three battle report threads interesting, the first is here Cheriton 2019 - Game 1
They cover three refights of the Battle of Cheriton which I built the forces for

PM me with your email address and I'll send you the details of my basing and the sabots

The nice Mr Leon probably still has the details from when he produced the sabots for Pierre the Shy & I

I very strongly recommend For King & Parliament and must get a round to playing TtS but DBx is still dominant in these parts

I've still got the original document that we sent Leon if you need a copy of it, I have used it subsiquently to order a few more bases for the Irish stuff I have got more recently.

Playing TtS - challenge accepted, call me a heretic but DBxx isn't near the top of my list of favourite rulesets :ar!

we are not now that strength which in old days
moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are.
