Had a combination of fine weather and spare time to finally get round to taking some quick pictures of some of the later batches of Covenant infantry that Paul did for me eariler in the year....

Kings Lifeguard of Foot (1650):

Sir William Douglas of Kirkness' Regiment (1650):

3 Highland Levy regiments - Sir Hector Maclean of Duart's, Sir George Buchanan's and the Earl of Sutherland's. Although treated as oridinary musket and pike armed units for these I mixed in a number of highlanders armed with more traditional weapons from PM's Jacobite range to depict them as distinctly "highland" in make up. The first two units will feature heavily in a future refight of the 1651 Battle of Inverkeithing. If you have ever driven over either of the Forth Road Bridges you will (probably unknowingly) have visited the scene of that battle as it took place at the Northern end of the M90/A9000 intersection.

Earl of Sutherland's Levies (1645) for Auldearn refight:

Back to finishing off preparations for starting the Buffalo campaign.....tally ho!!

Though much is taken, much abides; and though
we are not now that strength which in old days
moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are.

I touched up the flock on the casualty bases this morning :)

I've had to touch it up again ~X(
As the casualties are lying down, obviously, there is more edge to flock around plus weapons and scabbards to avoid
