Have to admit, I've used some made up names in my own W3K (ECW) games in the past ..... Sir Hampden Park, Sir Patrick Thistle, etc.  Cheesy

It's not only the look of the units (painting and basing, etc.) but the inclusion of the commanders' names that impresses me also (presumably the names are historically accurate? - please don't tell me, if not!  I don't want to see ).

All historically accurate, based on the Battle of Cheriton Smiley

Well Montrose can have a troop of dragoons lead by none other than one Captain Blackadder......not sure what his first name was  Wink

Spent 3 hours tidying up 150 Scots Horse tonight - removing the "mould flller line" to the horses belly on the lancers took a while but they're done, and are ready to pass on to Paul on Saturday for painting in due course.

There was one (or more) edition/s of White Dwarf where the figures were named rather than coded, (with something like 12345/6.)

I remember one with the 40K Imperial guard given names from Rush, & Emerson, Lake & Palmer, and others...I think there was another with surnames from the original Marillion line up.

I think I was one of the very few, in the studio, who got it.  Grin Grin

Someone just posted a scenario for Marsden Moor on the FK&P forum.....15 x 6 table, 15cm grid, over 100 units with 3000 figures.....

Could do doesn't mean should do though  Wink
