Don't forget their skien dou's  ;)

Finished the next 3 Covenant pike regiments - Haldane's, Preston's and Campbell of Lawer's.

Finished writing up my scenario for the convention game this weekend - can the Covenant stop Cromwell from seizing Leith some 369 years after the actual attempt?

Given that most of the English are rated as veterans (from what the BCW site says) they might have their work cut out but we will see.....

then it will be time to base up some of those "stripy rascals" and finally begin the campaigns of the King's Lieutenant in Scotland.....I hope DGuy's got MacColla and Inchbrakie to make up after their little tiff at Glen Tilt or else Montrose's campaign will end before it has even begun  :o

Take lots of pictures! Any day the Grand Usurper is defeated is a good day!

As a pseudo-historical footnote, Montrose showed up the next day and, "You did what???"

I made a start on base coating the skin on Friday :)

No painting over the rest of the weekend as I spent 2 days having a jolly good time playing scenarios provided by Pierre the Shy at Call to Arms, one of our two local Wargaming events

I won't steal his thunder but I really enjoyed all three games we played, the first two immensely  :) :) :)

Made a good start on the hair :)

And did some sword hilts that were only partly covered by hands, not completely covered as I'd thought :)

I'm intending to write up our two games of FK@P that we played last weekend, just waiting on getting pictures of the latter stages of the very close second game which ended in quite dramatic circumstances....

Meantime here is a link to my mate Rhys's blog with his take on "Call to Arms": http://badlyleadmen.blogspot.com/2019/08/a-weekends-gaming.html
