How about German reiters? Use the later demilancer, exchange the lance for a wheel-lock pistol, add a couple of holsters to the saddle front and Bob or Heinrich's you uncle.  Leave one in the pack with a lance as a standard bearer.

Another using extant figures:


Two excellent figures who really should be together, can be used for more or less anyone from anywhere, 1480 to late Elizabethan wars in Ireland.
