Pictures from my visit to the renovated Naval Museum of Istanbul. Some material is relevant to this group. Enjoy!

Φωτογραφίες από το Ναυτικό Μουσείο της Κωνσταντινουπόλεως. Αρκετή προπαγάνδα αλλά και κάποια ενδιαφέροντα εκθέματα.

As always, KT, thanks for the huge number of pictures, very interesting. The ship models offer a great deal of detail to study. Thanks to the young woman you placed in front of the one model, gave a very good idea of model scale.

Thanks for sharing the pictures...very interesting to naval buffs like Paul and me.

The ship models at the museum are somewhat bigger than our 1/3000 stuff ☺
Though much is taken, much abides; and though
we are not now that strength which in old days
moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are.

Thanks for the pictures.  I really want to get to this museum someday, esp. to see the 17th century galley they have.
