Good start. Plenty of good rules abound for the ECW.
The artist formerly known as Dour Puritan!

By "Good Guys", you mean the religious fundamentalists who supported a coup against a democratically (sort of) elected Parliament and helped impose rule by a despotic, un-elected, leader even though that was supposedly what they had previous fought a war against?

The closest thing to "Good Guys" in the mid 17th century were the Levellers, and look what Cromwell and the NMA did to them!

Nice painting by the way!  ;)

Thanks for the comments  :D
Sunjester as an East Anglian my allegiance is cast, however as you rightly point out in this period of religious fundamentalism, regicide, witch trials, socialism with levellers and diggers there were few good guys but a fascinating period to study and war game, i cant believe that i haven't before!

Cracking!

"Least worst major faction" might be about right, even if they did suppress the actual "most best" fractions :D

C'mon, they got it mostly right! Also, they produced some superb albums and do a cracking live show.

Lovely painting, Speirs, and a very excellent start.

A few of my NMA figures sport sea green ribbons to commemorate the Levellers. No faction was without warts but some Leveller ideas are found in the US Bill of Rights.

I could say the same for the Levellers!

I've only seen the Levellers as Rev Hammer's backing band, so I can't really comment on that :D

They put on a good festival though, Beautiful Days is cracking.
