With the new range of figures due out soon, does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions as to rules for gaming the Mutiny?   It is a very long time since I played the period (1980's) and that was in 28mm and, frankly, I don't remember the Napoleonic Rules (can't remember which ones we used) working too well.

Parkerm: Black Powder I would think would work or depending on what level  you want to game Brigade, batt ect Osprey's the Men Who Would Be King's might work as well to mention a few.I don't know much about the period but with these new figure's coming out I'm going to dive in. Hope this help's Mike

I would also second black powder, however I am probably biased as I love the rules.

Black Powder - so long as you use the special rules and get the stats right. We've used them with 28's and it's a great system and always a fun game!

The Men Who Would Be Kings are good for skirmish/small actions. BP for larger battles as others have said.

Black Powder, Field of Battle 2 (if you like a card driven game), Basic Battles (the free Basic Impetus 2 expansion covering C16th to C19th) a good starting point as the armies are small and basing is irrelevant as movement and ranges are in unit half frontage, Victoria's Battles, The Men Who Would Be Kings if you are looking for a fun, fast, slightly irreverent patrol level game.

Hello

For large skirmishes there is the Too Fat Lardies Sharpe's Practice (V2), battle report here http://toofatlardies.co.uk/blog/?p=5522

Victorian Steel are a good set if you like big battles, here: http://www.victorian-steel.com/apps/webstore/

There is a free to download scenario book, here: http://www.victorian-steel.com/pdf-rules-downloads

They are written for 28mm figures but should be adjustable for the smaller scale.

The authors live locally to me and I regularly play at their gaming facility.

Now they've knocked me down and taken it, that still hot and smoking gun.

Without wanting to get people excited prematurely, I can report that Dr Mark Smith has completed playtesting of all the scenarios for his "Wars in India" book for use with the BBB rules. Naturally it includes a bunch of scenarios for the Mutiny (as well as Sikh Wars, etc). It will be a few months yet before the book is published, but it will be excellent when it does appear.
