Clash of Giants - ACW by Ted Racier (GMT).

I have had Gettysburg up on the table and have blogged some observations and examples of play. The potential for delay and deviation of reinforcements can change the 'feed' into this meeting engagement and the 3 - 6 hour turns affects the tempo. All-in-all and interesting game.

Certainly an attractive looking game with decent looking counters. I particularly like the corps markings on the Union counters.

Nice review and AAR as always Norm.

Thanks all, as always, there are a couple of moments created in the boardgame that woild make ready made scenarios for the figure table.

The game scale is 270 metres per hex, so a small grouping of the hexes that just so happened to have 2 - 4 brigades per side present, might make for an interesting Black Powder game.

A nice idea to be able to play at a larger scale, then pause and zoom in for more detailed action if required. This sort of thing is on my to-do list, as and when time allows.
