Truly beautiful work. All reminds me that a pal of mine has a calendar that goes: January, February, March, March, March, March, March, March...   X_X

Love the basing as well, nice ideas there. I like the "green grassy slopes" look!

For those who don't get the reference..... :)

Thanks for the kind words guys

They are based for Baroque although I just bought ' The War of the Three Kings' rules so will give them a go as well. The basing is slightly different but as they are all the same I think I can work around that.

Unlikely they will appear in the painting competition as I am finding it hard to find the time to take the photos and as they are, they do not fit the restrictions on unit size.

How have you found war of the three kings so far? How do they compare with btlb 2?

Redstef

I've not tried them yet, only read through and I haven't played previous versions so I can't compare them. On read through they seem okay though. I especially like the idea of different dice for quality rather than the traditional +1 as a modifier. Also the make up and tactics of the individual units has been well done, but this may have been the same in previous sets  :)

These are lovely; beautifully painted and a massed effect.  I also think the basing is very well done, I'm not usually a lover of static grass, particularly on smaller scales, but this looks great along with the judicious use of tufts.

Very well done, I'm especially envious of the command stands at the beginning.

Brilliant, totally and utterly.

If I was starting afresh I would follow your unit sizes, they look awesome - my 21 fig battalions feel so inadequate now  ;)
