There's been a lot of talk recently about various methods of storing figures, from A4 box files to the Really Useful Box range, so what other methods do people use?

I've seen these at the shows and they look very good, these must be at the top end of the storage spectrum.  Has anyone tried the Figures in Comfort range?

I've got both , but prefer the KR Multicase... softer foam and less rub on the painted figure.

Magnetized and in belgian cookie tins (found here at Christmastime) thus:

I'm a big fan of magnetic basing. All my figures have self-adhesive magnetic sheet on the bottom of their bases.  They are stored either in box files with steel paper on the bottom, or in small metal drawer units from Ikea. I did recently look at a nice 16 drawer Bisley cabinet - which has quite shallow drawers which would be great for 10mm.

Some US Paras in a metal Ikea drawer

Some Brit Paras in a plastic case, with magnetic sheeting on the bottom

At home they are mostly on open shelves, move em in toolboxes or converted busicet tins, depending on scale and means of transport. I store my 6mm infantry in matchboxes, anyony got any spare "pilot" sized ones?

This is the storage plan I am now working to

http://lasthussar.wordpress.com/2011/01/06/figure-storage/

Currently waiting for the final 5 infantry battalions to arrive - I have 2 cavalry units painted, 2 undercoated, need to source dead horses.  2 Artillerty units painted, 1 to buy, plus a spare pack or 2 to make damage markers.  Also will need a pack of AWI casualties (I have 8 sets of 3 for infantry)  Leon says they have some SYW officers suitable to be 'First Fire' markers (have you had a chance to put up a photo?)

I don't have room for dismounted dragoons, so if I do one of the remaining cavalry as dragoon, I will need to sub in an infantry unit (the other is Cuirassiers).
I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain why you are wrong.

Not yet, I'll try and get it done tomorrow for you.

I have metal bases under all of my more recent figs, 10 mm and 28 mm, and via the Mrs. I purchase industrial quantities of self-adhesive magnetic film that I glue onto the bottom of shallow cardboard boxes.  Still looking for a drawer system, thinking about making one myself using 3 mm woodboard drawers in a plastic case, based on simple plastic cabinets, but that's just a plan for now.
I also have 8 KR cardboard boxes for storing my warhammer armies, runequest figs and anything else that still has plastic bases.  I particularly like KR's deep foams, for storing all the more exotic stuff like giants, griffins, dragons, and other irregularly shaped big items.
Apart from that I still have lot of stuff in shoeboxes and bubble wrap, mainly terrain.
