Hi

Been snowing here in the Mendips since last night, about six inches or so but just showing signs of stopping.

You've certainly had more than us, Andy.

I must admit I got caught out last night, doing 'dinner'......Didn't realise how cold it was outside.
Switched on the gas hobs...Thinking they'd work.....Nothing.

"Bummox".....Go and warm the cylinders with a bit of hot water.
Came back inside, not even thinking about anything else. Clicked the hob on.

What silly sod hadn't switched them off properly before he went outside.....

WOOOOOOOF !....(But only enough to make me jump.....Not do any damage !)

Just drove back from North Norfolk to Bristol this morning. Snow varied from virtually zero due to very strong Easterly wind, to around 1"-2" from Milton Keynes onwards. Roads absolutely fine for the most part, with the gritters having done sterling work to keep everything clear. Some roads had drifts which appear to have caused a few motorists to spin out of control :(.

The (ahem) 'fireball' was only the size of an overlarge dinner plate......Nothing like the one I had completely surrounding me, when I had the 'incident' with the  two and a half gallons of old petrol, when I thought I was doing all the right things. (I was.....until I lost concentration and stepped forward to light the little fire, because the firelighter I'd thrown at it from a few yards went out.)  :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[

There must have been at least a dozen occasions that someone less lucky than yours truly would have been killed. :-[......Or very seriously injured.
