Not sure about the demise of 15mm as there is already an awful lot out there and being used, that said if I was starting ACW again I would certainly go down the 10mm route, Pendraken of course.
We just need to repeat it often enough.

Then it will be true.

Well, thank you all for such a warm welcome.

A couple of rulesets mentioned there that have tickled my interest.
Did I mention my one remaining gaming vice - buying rules when I don't have any appropriate figures... But I digress.

Chain of Command, have bought them and love the concepts within -
The barriers are: 1 lack of WW2 armies (Easily resolved), 2 lack of appropriate density WW2 scenery (Have you seen the amount of stone wall in a typical French village!!!).

Sword and Spear, likewise enjoy the concepts, but found the typical Ancients problem - figuring out the factors when lots of tings collide with lots of different weapons.

The 15mm / 10mm war is yet to be decided.
If purchasing new I'll consider the usual factors.
* Cost.
* Suitability for the rules at hand.
* Ease of storage.
* Completeness of range.

You can see that 10mm has its node in front on several counts.

Finally, any suggestion that I might raise the standard of the forum remains to be seen.
I've proved quite capable of lowering tones in the past.

I'll close by saying that this forum is much more welcoming, helpful and game-focused that the morass where I occasionally lurked in the past.

May I suggest you peruse Pendraken's extensive wall range (e.g. SCN-WLH1)? £2.50 for a foot, and you can't say that often nowadays.

15mm is dead. It just doesn't know it yet.

I suspect we can soon drag you down to our level. I had a Harley Street practice until I joined this forum.*

*For clarity, it was Harley Street, Runcorn, and the practice is illegal in 34 US states including Arkansas.
