painting camo on WW2 figures

going to be starting some Pendraken WW2 German and Brit paras, needing help so any tips for painting the camo on the jackets/smocks etc

Brit paras are fairly easy, sand yellow base, largish green roughly rectanglar blocks over about 1/3rd. Reddish brown blocks over the over 1/3. It's a fairly large simple pattern. And a lot of the cloth used in actual Denison smocks was hand painted so there is no real wrong or right- within the broad parameters.

German paras - bit of choice of camo styles so need to pick the one you want to get the right overall colour look. You need to abstract the German ones as they have a lot of details.
