So I finally picked up some rules to use with the 10mm napoleonics I've been working on. After a Saturday of trees and the arrival of roads from FatFranks, I thought I would test out some of the mechanisms.
So two French battalions and two British would have a wee barny acting as if each side was one Brigade with skirmishers. It was fairly fun considering you would never play GdA with such small forces. As predicted whichever side dealt the first big setback to the other took the day, but it was interesting to see the phases work and the Brigade morale take effect. The British had the better of the skirmish fighting, but before they could take any advantage of this the French pushed forwards. The French seized the initiative at just the right moment and the British failed to get there two battalions into an effective position meaning, at the crucial moment, the two French battalions shattered the British 28th. The Brigade faltered and became demoralised, eventually the highlander battalion would be pushed back and the affair was over.
Some pictures here - I have included some of everything I have painted so far (one full British infantry Brigade  and a smaller supporting cab/art Brigade, with just two nervous looking French battalions!) I have plans to dye/paint up the brown blanket and turn it into a gaming mat. The table (when pulled out properly) is 6'by3'.
Happy gaming!

Enjoyed looking through your pics. Things seem to becoming along nicely. Particularly liked the RHA battery in action (2nd from bottom in pic list). BTW, thanks for mentioning FatFranks. I've been casting about for some simple roads his and will do the trick!

I was very impressed with his roads, I plan on buying the "straight sections" and "bends/cross roads etc". For a fiver with free p+p I think they are one of the best scenic products I have bought. You can also request particular colours and the like apparently, because he makes them to order. eBay is where I found them if you where looking to track them down.
Thanks for checking out the pictures.

Very nice, I particularly like the red cavalry.

Fat Frank's roads are great, I've got several sets. I do find the wavy ones (like you have the most useful, I think I got too many straight sections.
