QuoteMatt - Kill Team rules. Lots of my gaming group are big into 40k. But I've never been able to face the effort or cost of full on 40k. Plus I find the rules far too fiddly for the model count involved. Kill Team solves all those problems with something like 5-15 figures doing you steam for most factions.

All you need is the core rule book around £25. You are likely to have terrain and perhaps even figures

I haven't got much terrain or many 40k figures (back in the day it was always WFB, epic and Bloodbowl) but i'm thinking 40k (and particularly Killteam) would be great to get my young son into the hobby. I'll probably pick up the starter box set and go from there.

Cheers

Matt

I have been considering Kill Team as my little boy is into Marines. To be fair though he much prefers Colonial Marines which is fine by me 😉. I did buy probably too many Conquest magazines to give him something to paint.
Sometimes I wonder - why is that frisbee geting bigger - and then it hits me!

Another few weeks, go by, and I haven't posted any updates.

So this will be another round of updates of recent events...

Will we be seeing their antipodean cousins soon?

To highlight the lack of basing - I gathered the various in based units and did a bit of varnishing. Matt coat on the left hand ones, gloss on the right hand ones (even though these were painted longer ago. It feels a need a better system...

That would be next week sometime.....see Paul on Saturday to collect the figures, Armistice Day 2018 taken up with various things, including seeing Peter Jackson's colourised WW1 films so Monday after work will be busy basing.

Bases glued up and standards printed so now just need to:

  • paint the bases Waiouru Green (trust British Paints test pots? sure can)
  • find the right colour mix of 2 tussock flocks to do all the bases involved in this project
  • decide on the base colours for labels for Covenanters and Royalists
  • ask Paul nicely to send me a copy his label template to play with in Word/Paint

Though much is taken, much abides; and though
we are not now that strength which in old days
moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are.

fred.

Should be soon then!
