Barry Chuckle... RIP.
My wife's family are from Thrybergh, near Rotherham. I often joked that Paul and Barry were Rotherham royalty.
Anecdotally, everyone I know who's ever met them have said what lovely, lovely guys they are/were.

Of course, the real "claim to fame" for Thrybergh was as the birthplace of Paul Shane (Ted Bovis in Hi-de-Hi).

A sad loss as she had a stunning voice and loved quite a few of her songs. The heavenly choir has an extra voice tonight, that's for sure.

Gene Wilder.....Apparently on the 29th of August...Though the BBC notes it as happening on Sunday. (?)....Maybe they only announced it on Sunday.

Only found out because I had a quick scan on the BBC News Website this morning.
Didn't hear anything on the radio or see it on the TV.

Shame.  :(

Well, Nobby....I must admit was surprised when I read that.....He was another one of those that I thought.....Gosh.....I thought he was already gone.....But having done a tiny bit of 'Googling'...He did die in 2016.....and I wondered why there had been nothing on the radio or TV.

Blank knows why the Beeb put that up on their news website.
Probably one of their researchers finding a post on Facebook. ;)
I imagine they've corrected it by now.
It was definitely today's news page, as it had about the fire in the old Littlewoods building in Liverpool.

Something when 'Auntie' does something like that. ;D ;D ;D ;D
