1) What ruleset do you use in your last game? - Advanced Squad Leader Starter Kit #1
2) What armies were confronted? - American / German squad level
3) Did you feel comfortable with the ruleset? - mostly
4) and... was this the first time you used this ruleset? - no
5) How many players were in the game? Played as a solo game
6) What went well? Senario 1 does a good job in tutoring the gamer in the balance between laying down fire and moving and also the perils of moving in the open against good order troops.
7) What could have been improved? I played this really late at night when I was too tired to work with mental cohesion through the various processes - this was my main obstacle to smooth playing.

FierceKitty

1) What ruleset do you use in your last game? Ten More Sons!
2) What armies were confronted?   Ava vs Ming
3) Did you feel comfortable with the ruleset?  Certainly
4) and... was this the first time you used this ruleset? No
5) How many players were in the game?    Two
6) What went well?    My Burmese elephants and spearmen both survived flank attacks that could have wiped them out. Hmmm, you do get outflanked a lot fighting against these huge armies like the Chinese. Portuguese mercenaries, their west African slave troops, and the Japanese mercs all gave good value for money.
7) What could have been improved?    My artillery had an annoyingly low kill rate. On the other hand, the same was true of the Ming guns, and given that the Burmese use lots of ellies, on balance I was not badly served by the dice.

1) What ruleset did you use in your last game? - Bloody Big Battles
[...] A few 'swinging back and forth' moments in the game when it appeared that one minute a side was going to win and then the next it would surely lose. [...]
History was changed and Early's reputation restored with the Rebels taking the last objectives and winning on the last turn!

Westie, pleased to see you finally got round to trying BBB - doubly so that it gave you and the schizo what sounds like an ebb-and-flow nailbiter.  :)

Techno

Have to start a new thread soon......As we're galloping towards the end of 2018.

At least the days are going to draw out now, for we poor saps who live in the Northern hemisphere.

What I hadn't realised, for certain.....(Though I'd thought it was 'the case', before,) is that the mornings will still continue to get darker for a while, and it's just the daylight at the end of the day that extends to start with. (I heard one of the weathermen confirming this on the radio, a couple of days ago.)

Roll on when it's light at 5 in the morning.....I like that !  :)

Er......Does that make sense....Or an I gibbering, again ?
Yep....I'm gibbering ! :D

Cheers - Phil
