Looking REALLY good! I think the grey background has helped, but as Paulr said, a bit darker still might be better.  :-bd

Just have a bit of a play with backgrounds, Will.  :)

It's impossible to guess the exact 'shade' of background you've used....I'd have to be there, and see it in 'normal' light.

Decades ago X_X......The gray card that I used when taking meter readings for the exposures, (so I could then go on to use manual settings,) was in reality darker than I would have expected for this fabled neutral tone......I can only describe it as mid to dark gray.

For all I know, you've used exactly this right shade for the background.....And the auto meter has compensated and 'washed it out', very slightly. (Perhaps ?)

It's still oodles better..(I like it !)......and does your work far more justice !! :)

Great stuff !!

Cheers - Phil

That darker background really does mean the pictures do your work more justice :)

Last batch done, 425 models in the army since Xmas! That takes me to over a 1000 for the year.

Four units of armoured horse archers

They were moving so fast they've gone all blurry guv! And the glue hasn't quite set on that clump

Generally, generals

hmm, might retake those later, it was late when I took those last four shots and I've got the focal distance wrong...
