Hi all,

Finally got round to starting my British AWI army. I ordered my Brit infantry last night, so to bide my time decided to have a go at what I already have.

This is a complete new era to me, as I have only ever previously had an interest in ww2 (which has led me to order a full Soviet '42 tank corp  :-[ )

I am fairly happy for my first attempt at the period, with my first test batch being currently on eBay.

Lots of reading yet to come on the period, trying figure out what units are what and the tactics used on both sides.

All criticism/tips welcome!

Photo's to follow ...

Also a quick picture of my cheap photo booth (£9) from Fleabay, cheap and cheerful but it does the job!

Hi Jake,

Well, you sure can paint!  These are beautiful. I assume that, as the gunners are wearing infantry uniforms, rather than the dark blue Royal Artillery, that these are battalion guns? I confess I am an ignoramus on this war as well, so await advice from the experts!

I literally have no clue, all the google searches I made came up with guys in the red infantry uniform. It didn't even cross my mind that they would wear anything else, but Royal Artillery uniforms would make much more sense now you say it.

I'll wait and see what the experts say  ;)

Just noticed that the catalogue has photos of Andy Mac's beautifully painted examples! I will have to use those as a uniform reference when I start my own (if I don't get Kev to do them all - as I probably will!).😄😄

Haha typical, well I'll have to class these as a second batch of testers.

Also, big fan of your work Dazza, seen some pics of your ww2 stuff on here and around the internet and it's influenced nearly all my work.

Particulatrly how you base models with a wide range of basing flocks and tufts etc.

Meanwhile, back to the drawing board

Great work. The gun carriages were painted various colours, so see the pics on the website for references.
